Higher Obligation in the Pursuit of Education

We wish to provide "HOPE" to Minneapolis high school students who are seeking post-secondary education.

We were founded in 2012 by a small group of friends that believed every student deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education. Our mission is to provide college scholarships to Minneapolis public high school seniors with limited financial resources, but the desire to achieve great things.

Minneapolis HOPE Dollars for Scholars chapter (EIN 32-0381481) is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that not only supports academic success through our annual fundraiser and financial partners, but is also involved in community service for these local schools.

Minneapolis HOPE Awards Inaugural Scholarships!
$16,000 Commitment Made for Scholarship Awards

Patrick Henry Scholarships

May 31, 2013
In front of the Patrick Henry student body and administration, Minneapolis HOPE President Mick Cermak, Treasurer Dan Krocak, and Events Coordinator Aimee Cermak awarded 2 scholarships at their end of year student awards and pep rally!

After going through over 20 applications, these two young students will be receiving $2,000 per school year over their 4 year collegiate tenure. Our "hope" is that we can help alleviate some of the burdens associated with higher education and allow them to concentrate more on their future success.

Additionally, both Dan Krocak and Will Haase will be mentoring these two individuals throughout their college career, providing guidance, conversation, and future networking opportunities. Student will be required to maintain a 3.0 GPA in college and maintain this exchange with their mentor to continue receiving the award for each year in school.

Pictures of the awards event will be posted online at a later date, stay tuned!
